Township Stories tells the intertwining and often shocking stories of life in post-apartheid South Africa. The play paints a picture of a never-ending day-to-day struggle in South Africa’s Townships. But Township Stories is essentially about the moral breakdown of a community – it could happen anywhere.
Like a film, the action rapidly cuts from one scene to another, while running underneath the storyline is music by Norah Jones, Paul Simon, Tracy Chapman and Louis Armstrong, as well as a number of contemporary Kwaito tracks.
