Hannah and HannaWinner of the Edinburgh Festival Herald Archangel Award. Nominated for the 2002 TMA/Barclay Award for Best Play For Young People

Hannah & Hanna tells the story of a teenage asylum seeker in Margate who befriends a local girl of the same age. Bonded by a mutual love of pop music, the two girls develop a friendship capable of over-riding the bigotry that surrounds them. Can what they have in common outweigh their differences? It is a moving and humorous account of how conflict can be calmed by changes in experience and attitude.

Translated into four languages Hannah and Hannah has been performed all over the world, including Sweden, Israel, Belgium, India, France and the Philippines and received rave reviews.

"...The show is pitch-perfect in the way it balances pain with a buoyant rallying cry that tells you it is not impossible to do your bit to make the world a better place. Towards the end, I was wrestling with a lump in my throat the size of a watermelon." The Independent

“...an outstanding piece of honest, inspiring theatre.” The Herald
